Ms. Debra Sabato, Administrator
Cedar Manor Nursing Home
Box 928, Cedar Lane
Ossining, New York 10562
Dear Ms. Sabato:
I want to thank you for your kind words and thoughtfulness in remembering our family upon the passing away of my mother Janet Morris. We deeply appreciated your thoughts.
Most importantly I want to personally express my deep appreciation for the care that my mother received while she was a resident of Cedar Manor. From the very first moment, that I contacted the Admissions Director Maura Lyons, I knew that my mother would have a home that was full of sensitivity and quality care. We were never disappointed in any of our expectations.
Hillary Sadat the Director of Nursing and the staff of the North Wing, nurses, and aides treated her with respect and understanding at all times. When she was ailing they made her comfortable, when she was able they assisted her in all ways possible to maintain her independence. Mark and the Recreational Department staff involved her in meaningful activities and helped keep her happy, active and productive.
The Social Workers, Michele and Pam, were extremely helpful to me in handling matters that pertained to her upkeep and were of even greater help in assisting her when she had concerns about her health and inter-personal relationships. Most importantly the custodial and maintenance staff was diligent in their concern for cleanliness and comfort. Cedar Manor should be a model for Nursing Homes across the country.
My mother was a resident of Cedar Manor for approximately sixteen months. She as approaching ninety six years of age when she passed away on January 29, 2006. I commend you for setting the tone and climate for Cedar Manor. Please express my thanks once again to all of the staff who enabled my mother to live her final days with dignity and in comfort.
